Creative Peebles Festival invites locals and visitors alike to join together in a celebration of arts, fun and exploration from Friday 25 August until Sunday 3 September.
Events stretch across the 10 days – with two particularly busy weekends – as we showcase local organisations and individuals that act, sing, play, paint, write, weave, dance, juggle, recite and otherwise create the town’s vibrant arts community.
Although the festival sees a huge community aspect, we also have a variety of extremely polished professional productions, including music from Sisters of Swing and the Rachel Hair Trio, plus live theatre from Dogstar, and a much anticipated appearance by Professor Sir Ian Wilmut, who became internationally renowned for his contribution to the cloning of Dolly the sheep.
Back by popular demand, this year’s festival will once again include a variety of walking tours that explore the historical, industrial, cultural, literary, horticultural and ecclesiastical stories of Peebles. All are gentle walks that will reveal a very different side to the town. For more information, take a look at the individual listings for each event or download the brochure. Enjoy!
